The emblem
Guardian of the passage
In the MEDUSA imagination, a figure watches over the threshold where the living becomes mineral. Her gaze does not petrify to destroy: it reveals what time had already begun to write.
What was once a tree is stone today, without losing its drawing. The three-pronged fork marks this passage, as growth rings mark the seasons of wood turned to rock.

At hand height
Each object extends the MEDUSA universe with the same attention to the cut, the polish, the hand and the light. The scale changes; the rigour remains.

The hollow and the whole
Bowls whose bark remains raw while the core is polished to a reflection, spheres whose grain wraps around the volume. A unique piece is not limited to furniture.

Madagascar
An origin read through lines, densities and contrasts. MEDUSA composes petrified wood, stone and mineral into a contemporary, precise and deeply tactile expression.
Growth rings and reliefs
Growth rings remain legible in the stone: each slab preserves the drawing of the tree it once was.
Natural edges
The contour is not drawn; it is found. The cut follows the material rather than imposing a geometry on it.
Mineral depth
Polishing reveals nuances and crystallisations without ever making the surface uniform.

What can only be seen in person
The weight, the coolness of the surface beneath the palm, the way the polish reflects light depending on where one stands: the material keeps something that cannot be transmitted from a distance. The Antananarivo gallery welcomes visitors by appointment.
